For many years, DJ MBP (Must Be Played), who hails from the Münsterland region in Germany, has been thrilling crowds at countless gigs – whether on large international festival stages in front of thousands of people or in the intimate atmosphere of a local club next door.
With his self-proclaimed genre “Play House” – a unique blend of melodic, progressive techno and tech house – he has carved out a distinctive place for himself in the music industry. It’s no surprise that he’s already played as an opening act for major artists such as Robin Schulz and Lost Frequencies.
But his journey is only just beginning. After surpassing 10 million streams on SoundCloud, MBP followed up with acclaimed remixes and original songs, including a collaboration with British singer Richard Judge (known from “Show Me Love” with Robin Schulz).
He now boasts around 400,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and has accumulated millions of streams across platforms. Well-known DJ acts like YouNotUs, Karma Child, My Parade, and many more have already worked with this rising talent. His latest remixes and edits are regularly played by international DJ greats such as Diplo and Regard during their club shows.
Since fall 2023, MBP has been signed to Sony Music Germany (Epic Records) and is now aiming to massively expand his audience together with them — with the clear goal of soon playing in the top league.
That goal is within reach.
