Born and raised between Italy and Austria, DJ and producer Subsurface gained notoriety in the European dance music scene with releases on Dim Mak, Hexagon and Trap City.
With appearances at Electric Love Festival, BCM Mallorca or Noa Beach Club, countless shows across Europe, South America, Asia and more than 30 million streams, he is among the most successful DJs in the Italian-Austrian region. His sound can be described as a mixture between Dubstep, Trap and Drum & Bass, heavily influenced by names such as Skrillex, The Chainsmokers and Twenty One Pilots.
What originally started as a duo has been continued by the producer alone since 2024, who has received support from The Chainsmokers, Martin Garrix, Timmy Trumpet, Steve Aoki and others.
In late 2015 Subsurface had their breakthrough on Moshbit Records with their first single ‘Mr. Magician’ (feat. Leanne Louise). Before starting 2017 with their first gig outside Europe in Peru, they released a remix of The Chainsmokers’ newest single ‘Paris’ which was featured on Trap City. Other remixes and originals followed with a total amount of more than 30 Million streams on all platforms and support by international DJs and radio stations. A few years later they have performed in several different countries having a full schedule with over 50 shows per year. ​In 2021 Subsurface decided to step away from common DJ Sets and started including live vocals and instruments in their live performances.
By winning the DJ contest at European major festival Electric Love Festival twice in a row they prove that they are not only good producers, they also know how to handle crowds at festivals and club shows, being joined on stage by acts like NERVO or LMFAO.
Since going solo in early 2024, Subsurface has put the focus on an international career. This was followed by a release on Dim Mak Records, the label of well-known DJ Steve Aoki, his Asia debut with a show in Thailand and numerous shows in Croatia, Germany, the Czech Republic and throughout Europe. Several new releases have been announced for 2025, including a release on Don Diablo’s Hexagon Records, as well as several songs featuring his own vocals.
