Yoshiko, aka Giada Morone, was born in Italy to Brazilian, Japanese, and Italian parents. She began listening to hardstyle music at the age of 14 and quickly moved on to hardcore.
The name Yoshiko comes from her aunt, who played a defining role within Giada’s Japanese family. Her stage name is an ode to her Japanese roots, to family members who moved to Brazil after the Second World War, and to her inspirational aunt, who helped raise her mother after she lost her own mother at a young age.
At 18, Giada traveled to the Netherlands to experience a real Dutch hardcore event. This trip marked a turning point: she soon embarked on an international tour, performing at some of the most renowned hardcore events worldwide.
After finishing high school, Giada decided to make the Netherlands her new home so she could fully dedicate herself to her passion for hardcore music. Over the years, she has experimented, discovered, and refined her sound, mastering both music production and live performance. What began as a playful side project evolved into a full-time obsession.
In 2017, her dream of performing for a wider audience became a reality when she made her debut on a major stage. In 2018, she joined the Traxtorm family, receiving invaluable support and mentorship—particularly from F. Nøize and Da Mouth of Madness.
That same year, she made her mark on the Dutch hardcore scene with several high-profile performances and live radio appearances. During the summer, she released her first single, “Pop It,” which opened the door to appearances at major summer events. Her second release followed shortly after, alongside work on her first collaboration with fellow artist and friend Lady Dammage.
